Singer-songwriter, actress, poet, and daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley died on January 12, 2023. She was only 54 years old. "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," her mother, Priscilla, confirmed.
Presley was rushed to the hospital earlier the same day after a housekeeper found her unresponsive. Although paramedics were able to regain Presley's pulse, she died just a few short hours later in the ICU.
Lisa Marie Presley was born to the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley, and his then-wife, Priscilla, on February 1, 1968, in Memphis, Tenn. While on the exterior, Presley's seemed to lead a charmed life as the only child of Elvis Presley, her formative years were turbulent.
Aside from her highly-publicized personal life, which included marriages to Danny Keough, Michael Jackson, Nicolas Cage, and Michael Lockwood, she released three albums between 2003 and 2012. She struggled to forge her own public identity and sought treatment for prescription drug use in August 2016.
She is survived by her mother and three daughters Riley, Harper, and Finley. She is preceded in death by her father who died at the age of 42 in 1977 and her only son Benjamin who died by suicide at only 27 years old on June 12, 2020.
