The members of Motley Crue — Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, and Tommy Lee — have been infamous for wild parties, drug abuse and several arrests, since they formed in the 1980s. The crazy lives led by the band members have stayed in the pop culture forefront due to the 2019 Netflix movie “The Dirt,” adapted from the band’s autobiography of the same name.
Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx were arrested in December of 1997 when they beat up a security guard who tried to stop them from bringing fans onto the stage. Three months later, a bruised Pamela Anderson called the police because of a physical incident with Lee, which led him to be fined $5000 and jailed for 180 days.
In 1999, Lee turned himself in for another 1997 incident involving a security guard, where he and Sixx encouraged the audience to attack a security guard while the two shouted obscenities at him. After a jail and probation sentence, Lee, now 59, admits that his previous lifestyle was “too much,” and he has managed to remain sober and avoid any further run-ins with the law.
