HERE'S WHO INHERITED HUGH HEFNER'S MONEY AFTER HE DIED
By JEAN MENDOZA
History - Science
When Playboy founder Hugh Hefner died in 2017 at age 91, his net worth was $50 million, which may seem low for an entrepreneur of his status. This is because Hefner did not own the rights to the Playboy brand, and the sale of the Playboy Mansion before his death left him without any real estate.
Hefner’s third and final marriage was to Crystal Harris, whom he married in 2012, and he had four children from his previous relationships. Although details of his final will remain unknown, ex-girlfriend Holly Madison revealed that she had seen it, and half of the fortune was set aside for charity, while the majority of the other half would be divided among his children.
Although information about Harris’ inheritance remains unknown, Us Weekly reported that a prenup was signed before her marriage to Hefner. Although the fortune was for his children and the selected charities, a clause attached to the will would bar any beneficiary from inheritance if they were a drug or alcohol abuser.
