  • In 2019, Marta's extensive feature on Claudine Longet for Gusher Magazine (that was both glamorous and macabre) was for sale at MoMA's Design Store in New York.
  • Marta launched her @marta.mcfly TikTok page in 2021. There, she analyzes classic and contemporary cinema and works with Warner Bros., Elevation Pictures, and Sphere Films to review their upcoming releases.
  • Throughout 2022, Marta worked as a consultant for the movie app Reelay.

Experience

Marta has been writing since high school when she was chosen as one of the 30 student interns to participate in CBC's News Day in 2009. There, she was tasked with researching, writing, and filming stories for broadcast. In 2015, she launched Paradise Playground, a blog specializing in indie film reviews and music interviews. She has worked with various successful acts while also collaborating with Elevation Pictures and Netflix to review their upcoming releases. She then turned to freelance writing, where she's written for publications such as Little White Lies, Gusher, Sister Magazine, Localeur, and TheTalko. Marta joined Static Media in 2019, first as a writer for Nicki Swift and later as an editor. She has also written for Looper and /Film.

Education

Marta studied English at Langara College in Vancouver, Canada. She continued her education at the Blanche Macdonald Centre, where she received a diploma in global fashion marketing with a focus on fashion history.
