Experience

Carissa has been a professional writer since 2020, although she has been creating since she could walk. She is a founding member of a celebrated art collective, Soft Skills, and has helped them organize events, publish anthologies, and dabble in distribution. For a few years she was a project manager for The Really Useful Information Company, providing small business owners the tools needed to build professional websites. Her passion for pop culture really took off when she dropped out of art school to focus on making screen prints of bad girl celebrity mug shots from the 2000s. She joined Static Media in 2024 and can be found annoying her ornery cat in California.

Education

Carissa has a screenwriting degree from the Northwest Film Center and a certificate in comics & illustration from the Independent Publishing Resource Center.
