This Is How Much Paul Rodgers Is Actually Worth

When it comes to classic rock, there aren't many voices as recognizable as that of Paul Rodgers. From his beginning days in Free to the iconic music he made with Bad Company, Paul Rodgers' voice is synonymous with some of the most recognizable music of the era. Performing with countless iconic personalities in rock, Rodgers has sung with Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, toured with the remaining members of Queen, and performed with the likes of Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and even Slash from Guns N' Roses (via Paul Rodgers). With all that experience playing with rock's royalty, Paul Rodgers' net worth may be surprising.

Born in Middlesbrough, England on December 17, 1949, Paul Rodgers began his music career playing bass for a group known as the Road Runners (via Stan Laundon) circa 1964. A short-lived band, Rodgers spent the next couple of years playing the blues in various bands (via All Music) until 1968. After watching Rodgers play at a local London club, guitarist Paul Kossoff and drummer Simon Kirke approached the singer about joining their new band. Rodgers agreed and Free was born. From 1968 until 1973, Free recorded six studio albums (via Discogs). Best known for the hit "All Right Now," Rodgers claimed in an interview that the song is playing every 45 seconds across the globe (via Power Pop).

It's all right now

Even with the mega-hit in "All Right Now," Free only lasted a couple of years. By 1973, Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke left the band to form the group Bad Company along with bassist Boz Burrell and Mick Ralphs playing guitar (via All Music). The first band signed to Led Zeppelin's new label, Swan Song, Bad Company released their self-titled debut in 1974. With mainstay hits like "Can't Get Enough," "Ready for Love," and "Bad Company," their eponymous debut reached No. 1 on Billboard's top 200 on September 28, 1974 (via We Are Classic Rockers). Over the next decade, the group recorded five more albums, with Rodgers leaving the band after recording "Rough Diamonds" in 1982 (via Ultimate Classic Rock).

In 2004, Rodgers joined up with the remaining members of Queen to form Queen + Paul Rodgers. Through 2009, Rodgers, along with Brian May and Roger Taylor, recorded one studio album, two live albums, and went out on two world tours (via Rolling Stone). And while the arrangement between Rodgers and Queen was amicably dissolved in 2009, Rodgers continues to create and play music. With his nearly 60-year history of playing rock, it's estimated that Paul Rodgers is currently worth $14 million(via Celebrity Net Worth).
